Types of GPS
In this post I will explain the types of GPS available to consumers these days.
Auto GPS include GPS units for automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, and RV’s. The RV units have wide screens.
Marine GPS include boat units and fish finders.
Personal GPS includes small units you attach to your laptop or hand-held units you carry in pocket or purse or on your wrist.
Combo GPS includes blended technology, such as mobile phones with GPS capabilities.
All are based on the same technology, and all use the same 24 satellites.
